Hi, I'm Katie.

My love of photography began sometime in Middle School. I would take pictures of rocks and leaves and develop them with intense anticipation in a tiny little dark room. I would feel those photos of rocks and leaves deeply in my soul. We've come along way since then but the art of photography still does something to my heart.

Fast forward a few (okay, many) years to when my oldest son was born and the true magic of what photography can do took a hold over my life. How a moment in time can be captured in a single photograph is one of life's true treasures.

What began as a fun outlet for my creative side photographing friends and their families slowly turned into a magnificent little community/business that I feel lucky to call mine. Capturing families exactly as they are is, perhaps, one of my greatest joys.

I still struggle calling myself a 'professional' photographer. I have no formal training and work full time as a Kindergarten teacher. However, watching what this tiny hobby has turned into is more than I could ever ask for. My clients have become like family; a little family that we have created together.
